Always remember: Last to go on, First to take off:  Take care to put jewelry on only after make up and hair spray is applied. These acids can break down the strength of stones, pearls and silk.

Silk: Any items strung on silk need to be kept dry - do not get wet - and store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Do not wear during sporting activities!

Sterling Silver: Quick and gentle swipe of a non-abrasive silver polish cloth.

Gold Filled: Store in cloth bags for protection. Gold Filled pieces are 14k gold that has been bonded to metal to create a stronger, more durable material than solid 14k gold. Do not confuse with gold-plated, which is a thin layer sprayed on and does scratch off.

Wire: Any items strung on wire need to be laid flat to avoid crimping or bending of the wire.
